Panya Forest and North Gate Spirit in Chiang Mai have begun a unique collaboration aiming to bridge the gap between rural and urban communities in an effort to keep all beings informed and empowered via community building and participation with the arts as it relates to land and culture.
This will be the first installment of SucSEED. It will be a day of education and celebration.
Focusing on the intersection between war and food sovereignty. We will invite experts to offer lectures about what is currently happening North of the Border regarding peoples access to food and education. We will experientially learn about skills that are rapidly being lost, such as seed saving and basic farming. We will then share a traditional Rakhine State meal together, made from food grown on the farm. After dinner, we celebrate life! Several Myanmar hip-hop artists will perform as well as Fluid-Frequencies, a beloved local act that deliberately centers and empowers the vulnerable in our community with positivity.
