Khaing Zin Myint
Kitchen & House Lead
Khaing Zin Myint comes from a family of six members: her parents, her oldest brother, her elder sister, herself, and her youngest sister.
Her parents are elderly now, and her brother and sister both got married when she was in ninth grade.

Currently, her brother is on the run from the military coup. Her youngest sister had to drop out of school because of the Civil War.
Her sister, being only 17 years old lost all opportunities for her education. Khaing Zin Myint often feels sad when she thinks about her sisters’ situation.
Since her family could no longer afford to support her education, and she was the only one in the family who had finished high school, they decided to support her studies instead.
Khaing Zin Myint came to Thailand to attend a university for one year in 2024. After she finished university, she didn’t know where to go. She couldn’t return to Myanmar because of the Civil War. However, she had some seniors living in Chiang Mai who were volunteering at Pan Pan Organic Farm.
Khaing Zin Myint connected with them and moved from Southern Thailand to Chiang Mai. She volunteered at Pan Pan Organic Farm for three months. Now, she is a long-term volunteer at Panya Forest. She is currently facing a financial problem because she needs to go back to Southern Thailand to extend her visa for one more year and to graduate.
